I’ve done a lot of interesting things in my career. Here are some of them.
Group Communications Manager
As Communications Manager, I managed five brands, across six websites and seventeen social media channels. I took ownership of content curation and creation, as well as updating the agency’s digital footprint and marketing materials. I built a content marketing strategy, deploying a content marketing framework designed to keep clients informed and candidates applying. Liaising with teams across eight offices to provide local marketing support, I was also involved in everything from event support, e-blasts, tender creation, and all aspects of the company’s public face. I managed multi-channel paid social media campaigns and content distribution.
Social & Content Director
I led social media efforts for a diverse client base, spanning the Deepend and History Will Be Kind’s stable to deliver social media campaigns, content marketing and creative strategies. My team and I won great new clients including Brown Forman, Aspen Pharmaceuticals and Cheapflights, and delivered great content-led projects. I oversaw key client communications, led and managed the introduction of a new reporting framework, and expanded the agency’s offering into 360-degree video, cinemagraph/GIF production and animation.
Creative & Content Director
I was the creative lead across the entire Ogilvy PR client base, leading the client and content teams to craft strategies, campaigns and daily content. Leading a team of four digital and graphic designers, I managed the content generation for clients including KFC, eBay, Activision, Microsoft, Ford and more.
I was the lead strategist on Microsoft Australia and Yellow Pages, as well as a consultant across a number of Ogilvy PR’s clients for social campaigns. I led the new business development and concept exploration for the social team and worked with a range of stellar performers to deliver the best social media campaigns in the country.
Head Of Social
Leading social campaign development across a broad spectrum of clients, I was the go-to point of contact for social integration. From employment campaigns to graduate recruitment, retail activation and social amplification, this was a mixed bag of social awesomeness. At a time when paid social was barely alive, this was the pure engagement-led social campaign building that I really enjoy.
People Comms Manager
As the in-house expert on communications around recruitment, retention, graduate engagement and internal talent, I was busy. This role included a lot of consulting with the business, and developing programs with in-house recruitment, resourcing and L&D teams to deliver great talent for the organisation. With a swath of reputation management, a lot of press advertising and plenty of employer branding, this was a role as complex as it was fulfilling.
Agency Senior Account Manager
As the key contact for more than forty clients, I managed accounts across corporates, recruitment agencies and more. Working closely with the creative and design teams, I also worked on new business development and sales. Working in an environment with both a transactional and strategic overview made this role a tough teacher, but very satisfying.
